The Cubanelle Pepper has a double identity as a Cuban pepper and an Italian frying pepper. It’s slightly spicy—and would have to be to earn a place in the ingredients list of sofrito or as a topping on a sausage sandwich. But it’s still considered mild. The long 5"-7", curved, tapered fruits ripen from green-green to yellow-green to red-orange to red-red. Whatever cuisine you relish, its thin skin makes it perfect for pickling, roasting, bbq, frying, or stuffing.

  • Sweet and crunchy
  • Long, tapered fruits
  • Harvest any color
  • Good for containers

No germination
So far, I haven’t seen any germination. My other peppers already have secondary leaves. I have replanted and perhaps they will emerge. Crossing my fingers.

Unfortunately I also have had zero germination on these seeds.
Not much luck with these seeds. Nor my Pepperoncini seeds. They did not sprout. I have tried another round, and still nothing. Not sure what the deal is with these seeds

Hi Shelley! Peppers are very tricky to germinate and require special care. Here are some links to learn more about the process: https://www.seedsnow.com/blogs/news/136421063-tips-on-how-to-successfully-germinate-pepper-seeds and this link https://www.seedsnow.com/blogs/news/tips-for-growing-both-hot-sweet-peppers Do you think these steps were followed on your end?

Zero germination
I tried multiple ways to get the cubanelle seeds to germinate with no luck. I have had pretty good success with most of the other seeds I have ordered so very disappointing.

0% germination
I've bought these 2 different years thinking it was a fluke the first time. Both times I've had a 0% germination. I planted every seed from each the pack and not one came up.

Reliable frying pepper
I have grown the cubanelle for two years now from seeds.now and they germinate very high. This year in zone 7 has been a horrible growing season- unbearable heat waves, rains for days, cold nights in the middle of Summer, and many of my peppers have become stunted or diseased. These are the only one...

Class Seed Act
I received my order of a wide range of sample seed packs quickly. Nice packaging, a color label for each on a small zip lock bag. I intend to plant some, give some in Christmas cards to hort society friends.

The shipping is great. I've planted my seeds for two weeks. The bok choy sprouted a lot but nothing happened to pepper and eggplant...
